Milton Art Center
Annual Appeal 2020

Dear Friends,

This year has been difficult for everyone. The challenge the Milton Art Center faces, how to carry out our mission of bringing people together to learn and appreciate the arts has meant reconfiguring our programming so that we can safely carry on our work.

This summer we brought our arts programming online and at the end of July, went outdoors under tents wearing masks and shields to teach weekly art classes.

Our interactions were heightened this summer; teachers, teen volunteers, parents and children all experienced and expressed a greater appreciation for being together. What we learned (like restaurants) is that we should and will be taking advantage of the outdoors to expand our arts programming.

Our plan was to make as much money as we could this summer to be able to survive to the spring. We will be able to do that, but barely. Your generous donation today helps us survive to the spring.

Donate Now

The Milton Art Center is not supported by taxes; we earn the majority of our upkeep. While we were able to offer art classes this year, all fundraisers and events were cancelled, eliminating valuable revenue sources. We rely on contributions from generous donors like you to support the upkeep of our building, to offer scholarships for those who can’t afford to pay for art classes, and to give our organization the capacity to imagine new programming that fits the needs of our community.

We started our organization because we value what the arts give us - inspiration and creative skills that enrich our inner lives and community connections. As we enter our 10th year, please consider donating today to help us continue to be of service to our community in the future.

Sincerely,

Joan Clifford
Executive Director
Milton Art Center
